Each album they write has its own unique sound that emphasizes one part or another of the band. With "Devil" they certainly gave the record a more aggressive rock feel like "This December" while keeping that ambient feel "Illuminate" had. "Devil" is the product of a band that keeps each album different but keeps those certain elements you love about them. To my surprise Devil even a little pop feel as show cased in the song "Hurry Back Tonight".
